Welcome!

Behind @tonjeinoslo you will find me, Tonje Haugli, a 30-something knitter from Oslo, Norway.

I learnt to knit 30 (!) years ago by my wonderful mother, and she inspired me to start making knitting patterns inspired by Norwegian knitting traditions. I have since expanded into the colorful world of kids designs, including patterns with unicorns, dinosaurs and many other lovely motifs.

 

The knitting patterns I write are supposed to be easy to read - no abbreviations at all, instructions written in full sentences - so that beginners can understand the otherwise cryptic world of knitting. Colorwork is charted, though, with color-coded squares for the colorwork charts!
