Akersveien baby mittens - English pattern

Akersveien baby mittens is a knitting pattern for thumbless baby mittens inspired by Scandinavian knitting traditions.

These colorwork mittens are knitted with short floats (mainly three to four stitches in a row, with a maximum of six), making this a beginner-friendly colorwork project.

Size: Onesize 0-12 months, adjustable with gauge.

Gauge: 28 stitches over 10 cm.

For petite newborns you may use gauge 30 or 32 stitches per 10 cm, although 28 stitches per 10 cm will work well for all babies 0-12 months too.
